Mr. John Philip Werner age 51 of Garfield Twp., Newaygo, Michigan died Saturday
February 09, 2002 at his residence in Garfield Twp., Newaygo . He was born John Philip
Werner in Grand Rapids, Michigan the son of Helen F. Butolph and Edward Lewis John
Werner on October 14, 1950. He married Debbra A. Culver on Aug. 6, 2000 in Newaygo. He
was a Trailer Technician for Trailer Equipment of Grand Rapids.  He was a member
of Resurrection Life Church of Newaygo. He was a member of Newaygo VFW Post 4249; He was a veteran having served in the Marines during the Vietnam War from 05/12/69 to 05/12/72 when he was
discharged as a corporal.  He  received the Purple  Heart award during his service in Viet Nam.
