Mr. Jack L. Powles age 56 of Bridgeton Twp., Grant, Michigan died Saturday April
27, 2002 at his residence. He was born Jack Lesley Powles in
Grant, Michigan the son of Ella Mae (Seaman) and Donald Alfonzo Powles on December 10,
1945. He was a Electrician for Burgress/Norton Manfacturing until 2000. He was a veteran
having served in the Army during the Vietnam War from 03/02/66 to 11/28/67 when he was
discharged as a SP4 (T). He was a Life Member of the Muskegon VFW Post 7729 and the UAW # 1441.
He is survived by his daughter Julie Lawrence of Muskegon, MI, his grandchildren
Jacob & Jenna of Muskegon, MI, his mother Ella Powles, his brothers and sister
Bill Powles, Martin & Barb Powles, and Maxine Ebert all of Grant, MI, and several
nieces & nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M. at the Bridgeton Cemetery, on
Tuesday, April 30, 2002 with Mr. Daren Penwell officiating.
Military Honors will be under the auspices of the Muskegon VFW Post 7729. Visitation
will be Monday, April 29, 7-9 P. M. at the McKinley Grant Chapel.
