Mrs. Geraldine Scholtens age 86 of Grant, Michigan died Tuesday August 6, 2002 at
Holland Home-Breton Manor, Kentwood, MI. She was born Geraldine Van Singel in Kent
City, Michigan the daughter of Jennie (Mouthaan) and Hamma Van Singel on September 7,
1915. She married Albert Scholtens on April 12, 1939 in Kent City, Michigan and he
preceded her in death on November 4, 1996. She was a Homemaker all her life and was a
member of Grant Christian Reformed Church.
She is survived by her children Simon & Pearl Scholtens of Grant, MI,
Alice & James Bandstra of Big Rapids, MI, Harry & Connie Scholtens of Grant, MI,
10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and her brother George & Marian Van Singel
of Kent City, MI.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. from the Grant Christian Reformed Church,
on Friday, August 9, 2002 with Pastor Case Van Wyk officiating. A family prayer will
be held at 1:45 P. M. Visitation will be held 2-4 & 7-9 P. M. Thursday at the
McKinley Grant Chapel. Interment will be in the Hillside Cemetery near Grant.
