Mr. David H. Schrader age 84 of Grand Rapids, Michigan formerly of Howard City died
Tuesday August 13, 2002 at Metropolitan Hospital, Grand Rapids, MI. He was born David
Hazen Schrader in Youngstown, Ohio the son of Emma (Mapes) and John Schrader on June 14,
1918. He married Dorothy Mae Sparks on October 31, 1952 in Grand Rapids, Michigan and
she preceded him in death on November 13, 1990. He was in maintenance for US Postal
Service until 1980.
He is survived by his daughter Emma Schrader of Grand Rapids, MI,
his grandchildren John McKenzie of IL, Melissa McKenzie of Florissant, MO,
Allison & Troy Wells of Allendale, MI, Anthony Burns of Kentwood, MI,
Mary McKenzie of Edwardsville, IL, 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by
his wife Dorothy Schrader in 1990, daughter Doreen McKenzie in 2000,
son Glenn Schrader in 1981, son James Schrader in 1993.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M. from the McKinley Grant Chapel,
on Friday, August 16, 2002. Interment will be in the Bridgeton Cemetery near Grant.
There will be no visitation. For memorials please consider the American
Diabetes Association or American Heart Association.
