Mrs. Bernice I. Rusco age 97 of Casnovia, Michigan died Thursday July 18, 2002 at
Fountainview Retirement Village in Grant, MI. She was born Bernice Irene
Rull in Casnovia Twp, Michigan the daughter of Anna Dirkes and George Rull on February
11, 1905. She married William Otto Rusco on December 27, 1927 in Kansas City, MO and he
preceded her in death on June 25, 1972. She was a Teacher for the Ravenna School District
for 14 years retiring in 1967 as well as helping her husband on the family dairy farm.
She was a member and officer of the Trent Grange and the Rebecca's.
She is survived by her children Maxine & Charles Sprague of Bailey, MI,
Roger & Marjorie Rusco of Ravenna, MI, Fred & Fran Rusco of Casnovia, MI,
15 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren,
her sister Beatrice Heiss of Ravenna, MI, her sister-in-law Marian Rusco of Sparta, MI,
and several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P. M. from the McKinley Grant Chapel on Monday,
July 22, 2002 with Pastor Kelly Carlson officiating . Interment will be in the
Hilton Cemetery near Casnovia. Visitation will be held 2-4 & 6-8 P. M. Sunday.
