Mr. Paul Wilkes Stuart age 81 of Fairhope, Alabama, Formerly of Grant died Thursday August 16, 2001 at Transitional Health Services, Fremont. He was born Paul Wilkes Stuart in Fremont the son of Katherine (Ott) and Rey B. Stuart on June 29, 1920. He married Lauara Louise Rider on June 10, 1945 in Detroit and she preceded him in death on December 20, 1996. He was a Self-employed Farmer. He was a member of Grant United Church of Christ & Fairhope United Methodist Church, Volunteer for Meals on Wheels in Fairhope, Active in Newaygo Co. Democratic Party, and a member of the National Farmers Organization.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM from the Grant United Church of Christ, Grant on Monday, August 20, 2001 with Rev. Michael Gesler officiating. Interment in Ashland Center Cemetery. Visitation Sunday, Aug. 19 from 1-4 PM at the Grant United Church of Christ. Memorials: Grant United Church of Christ or the Fairhope, Alabama United Methodist Church.
