Mr. Leland G. Pierce age 92 of Brooks Twp., Newaygo, Michigan died Sunday December 02,
2001 at Fountain View Retirement Village, City of Grant, Mi . He was born Leland G.
Pierce in Laingsburg, Michigan the son of Amelia Galligan and Jay W. Pierce on January
31, 1909. He married Crystal A. Leavenworth on March 17, 1930 in Lucas Co., Ohio and she
preceded him in death onAug. 21, 1996. He was a Manager/Salesman for Sears Company until his retirement.
. He was a member of Newaygo United Methodist Church.  He was a member
of  Newaygo Lions Club and a Longtime Member of Newaygo Golf League. He  played
Shuffleborad and was a member of the Happy Notes singing group in Florida. He loved Dancing and was a former member  of the Brooks Lake Assoc. Board   and had   served on the Brooks Twp. Zoning Board.
