Mr. Fred LeRoy Buchner age 86 of Blaine, MN, Minnesota and formerly of Newaygo died Saturday
December 15, 2001 at Crystal Lake Care Center, Robbinsdale, MN . He was born Fred LeRoy
Buchner in Morley, Michigan the son of Annabelle Hutson and Grover Buchner on June 02,
1915. He married Ida May Walker on Decmber 18, 1953 in Angola, Indiana and she preceded
in death on March 28, 1988. He then married Darlene Prince Morse on May 17, 1991 in
Newaygo, Michigan.  He was a veteran having served in the Army during World War II from 04/14/41 to 09/18/45 when he was discharged as a PFC, but was a POW in Germany for the last year of the war. He was a foreman for 37 years at General Motors until his retirement in 1970; a Life member of the VFW Post #4249 in Newaygo; a member of the UAW; and a member of the Blaine Lutheran Church.

Wife: Darlene Buchner, his children Randy & Sue Buchner of Lansing, MI, Annabelle & Gene Fergusen of Grant, MI, Rose & Ben Bonk of Newaygo, MI, Freda & Calvin Kooistra of Newaygo, MI, Tina & David LaPorte of Newaygo, MI, Son-in-law Carl Pretz of Ohio, His step-children Tarry & Elizabeth Morse of MN, Pam & Richard Smith of MN, Paulette & Richard Kotila of, MN, Marvin & Sandra Morse of Reno, NV, Darrell & Dorothy Morse of, MN, and his many well loved Grandchildren & Great-Grandchildren.   He was also preceded in death by his daughter Sandra Pretz. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A M from the McKinley Funeral Homes-Newaygo
